Yesterday I informed TPB that I am appointing myself for this week only as the acting president of the Run the Damn Ball committee.

I will be posting daily this week to remind all who read that Colorado is pretty shitty at the point of attack on defense; and given the strengths and weaknesses of our offense, Running the Damn Ball till our hearts are content should be the game plan moving forward.

Join me this week as we champion the fat running backs and the OL checked in as TEs.

What number suggests this?

Holding Minnesota to 55 yards on the ground and running for 181 of our own simply doesn’t support this conclusion.

Im fairly certain Nebraska is rushing for 400+ yards on these fools. If we were a regular team, I think that would be enough to win by like 4 TDs.

But we are Nebraska so I cant rule out the possibility of like 7 turnovers, a Pick 6 for a TD, a Kickoff return for a TD, or insert thing that happens like once a decade happening in the game.

Of all the weeks for the card carrying members of the committee I chose to appoint myself president of to feel some semblance of vindication, it is this week.

This game is a good view into how Rhule is gonna run the team. I know everyone is jerking off about CU, but they are like a 6-6 team at best this year. If Rhule goes in and kicks there ass it’s a good proof of concept of how Nebraska will face teams like USC or Oregon when we actually get some good players.

I guarantee you that TCU is watching game tape of their offense and thinking "what the fuck were we thinking?" If you go for 260 at 7/carry and throw it 42 times, you're giving the other team ample opportunity to win.

That and CU just wanted it more. Deion got them thinking it was them against the world. TCU looked like they were still reeling from getting spanked by Georgia.

Running for 181 isn't great, nevermind the fact that Minny was without their best player on defense. How much of the 181 were from Sims take off and run plays? Our defense is better up front than their offense though.

No 10+ yard passes up the middle. Over the 2021-23 seasons Sims had 68 attempts in that part of the field. Result? 10 INTs, about 35% completions. Amazingly 9 of of those 68 attempts and two INTs came 8/31.

Over that span he has 3 INTs in his other 327 attempts. GT only threw to the 10+ up the middle space 15% of the time with Sims.
