While I agree, I see a lot of issues with teams that run that fast paced style and it usually comes down to costly mistakes by rushing. There is a lot to be said for not allowing the other team to switch out defensive personnel by going up to the line and not huddling up. We will see how this huddle concept develops.
I know nothing about football and 99.85% of our fanbase knows less than me so they think the number of dudes with their hand in the dirt matters deeplyWhat is it about our fans/media and how fucking caught up we get in defensive formations. It’s exhausting
Since we play on artificial turf, it's very difficult for us to get any of our guys to put their hand in the dirt.I know nothing about football and 99.85% of our fanbase knows less than me so they think the number of dudes with their hand in the dirt matters deeply
There really is no need to rush the play call even if you go immediately to the line of scrimmage. Just keeping the same defensive personnel out there can be an advantage to exploit. While I agree, I see a lot of issues with teams that run that fast paced style and it usually comes down to costly mistakes by rushing.
I’m good with either as there as positives but ncaa rules kind of limit hurry ups today vs what Oregon did years ago under Kelly.
Also we really could have fucking used the ability to control the ball/clock the last several years. There really is no need to rush the play call even if you go immediately to the line of scrimmage. Just keeping the same defensive personnel out there can be an advantage to exploit.
Although it also then limits what you as an offense can do for different packages.
I get the feeling that we might be doing a lot of different looks on both offense(and defense) so huddling up makes sense if that is the case.

It annoys the fucking shit out of me...How dudes line up is the most miniscule thing in the grand scheme of defense. What is it about our fans/media and how fucking caught up we get in defensive formations. It’s exhausting
I approve of both!I get the sense the Satterfirkd is going to:
1. Run plays that work; and
2. Refrain from running fumble plays.
