New Commit Coming?

How old is Terry? I seem to recall some posting about him in prior years that said he was older than one would expect from his graduation date; he had been held back 1, maybe 2 years at some point. Is that correct?

He's 18 years old and a sophomore at Omaha North. Maybe a year older for his class, but he's dominating HS competition and projected to do the same in college. Good get if we get him.

I know he’s said since freshman year that’s he’s focused on football, but why wouldn’t he care more about wrestling?

sounds two years older. E.g., I turned 18 in May of my senior year. I did not start school early.

Nebraska often gets January enrollees that are still 17 in their first spring practice. He might be 20 at that time.

Wow, that's too young for you at 18 as a senior! I was 20 as a senior; that's a couple years old for that class maybe; i could be wrong.

when I was in school everyone was turning 16 and getting drivers licenses during sophomore year. I was the norm, not an outlier.

My little sister graduated a semester early, in December - she had just turned 17 the month before. She did start a year early.

Maybe I am wrong, but isn’t there even a maximum age to play high school sports? Like could he possibly confront that issue later on?

Yeah a 20 year old senior in high school is really old. Generally kids turn 18 during their senior year unless they were held back. Some turn 18 before their senior years if they have a summer or really late spring birthday in which they would turn 19 the spring of their senior year.

20 during your senior year means you probably had a late spring or summer birthday and you were held back.

My wife took kindergarten twice, birthday is in April so she turned 19 the spring of her senior year.

that's crazy. there's a few 20 year olds in the NFL draft every year

If he’s only 6’2” that makes sense, but I don’t know much about him

6'2 lol. Seems like Colorado would be a better fit for him

My birthday is June 21st so I was 16 going into my sophomore year. Birthdays anywhere from June (oldest) to May (youngest) is normal. June and July could go either way.

Isn't there some rule about playing sports in high school after you turn 19?

"they were a rap group in the 80's and 90's known for their profanity, grandma"

"Oh, that's right, they sang 'face down ass up'"
My grandma was in her 60s in the '80s (She turns 100 next month). She was definitely not listening to 2 Live Crew.

Except for that one colab they did with Glen Miller. She probably caught that one.
