this is PURE speculation, but the Knaak profile (RS Frosh, four years left) got me thinking

There is a LB from Oregon who portalled late April. A number of the defensive staff follow him on twitter, and have since he entered the portal. He is now a RS freshman, played in three game, 9 snaps, as a frosh. 4 star in high school. From Utah. 6-1, 216, 10.65 100M. Name is Harrison Taggart.

Summer workout starts next week. I am sure he is looking for a home.

Not saying that he committed, just a guy that crossed my mind who we seemed to have interest in and who is looking for a home now.

He was 200 lbs coming out of HS

Sounds N to me

from a BYU site article covering BYU portal activity two days ago

As of the publication of the newsletter, Oregon linebacker Harrison Taggart, who prepped at Corner Canyon, is still considering his options. He would be a great addition to Jay Hill’s defense and has four years of eligibility.

He apparently visited BYU 5/19

something else - he and Knaak would have to know one another from football I would think - they live 20 miles apart. Both class of 2022.

Taggart was the 3rd ranked prospect in Utah in the 22 class, Knaak was 15th ranked.
We are also in the top10 for a lineman from the same school as taggart. Corner Canyon
Nebraska football made a top group this week for a Utah offensive lineman just days after adding a former Bee Hive State offensive lineman in Tyler Knaak. This time the Huskers are in it for Corner Canyon lineman Isaiah Garcia.

The Huskers were joined by Alabama, Miami, Oklahoma. Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington.

Nebraska might be quite a ways back here as the Huskers haven't landed an official visit date for the big linemen, but with the change in regulations, Garcia could come in the fall even after making a lot of visits this summer.

Here's the 247Sports scouting report on Garcia as written by 247Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo:

"Well-proportioned frame and narrow through the hips. High-upside body type with plus length. Athletic tackle who absorbs contact well. Displays a mean streak in pass protection. Moves his feet tremendously well to stay in front of pass rushers. Seamlessly shifts weight to stay balanced at the point of attack. Flashes great flexibility and bend. Shows good hand violence to neutralize defenders. Could continue to improve as a run blocker and maintaining pad leverage. Potential multi-year starter at elite Power Five level."

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Garcia is rated the No. 212 overall prospect and the No. 20 offensive tackle, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the No. 219 overall prospect and the No. 19 offensive tackle in the 247Sports rankings. Utah holds the early lead in the Crystal Ball projections.

I think 9/30 will be a huge OV weekend

whether he is committing here or elsewhere, something is happening as Taggart's twitter profile is now completely blank above his name
