Am I crazy to think this team got better due to the bad luck of injuries? Gary and Bandumel getting hurt forced us to play Keisei, Lawrence, Hoiberg a lot more minutes…and it improved our offense immensely!

No. It ended up helping them a bunch with spacing and not really hurting them that much on defense, where you would have thought it would.

what this tells me is that KT should have been playing more last year OR he is more comfortable with the guys he’s playing with now as opposed to last year. Also shows us how competitive the practices must have been with all of them healthy. The defensive switches and movement of this team is just night and day from ANY team Fred has had so far. The intensity and vocal call outs that have to happen to be effective…I mean shiiiiiittttttt, it’s awesome to see!

I love watching this team. So unselfish. I hope Fred learned his lesson from the last few years that a less talented but less selfish team beats a more talented but more selfish team 9 times out of 10 in this league.

Walker operating out of the high post is incredible to watch. A big man that can distribute in traffic like he can is rare.

Hoiberg has a chance to develop into a Brad Davidson with a less punchable face.

Lawrence is a great fit on an unselfish team like this because he is totally willing to take what the defense gives him.

I wish we had more time with Greisel and Walker. I’m hoping Ramel Lloyd or Quaran McPherson can fill Greisels role next season. I loved their high school film. Keita is a different player than Walker but has flashed in small spurts.

Not sure if Bandoumel is a candidate for an injury redshirt or not but I was a fan before his injury.

At any rate, I’m excited to see this team grow. It’s setting up to be Fred’s first team that hasn’t turned over most of the roster and will actually return a lot of playing experience, something we haven’t seen yet with Fred.

As exciting as Cam Mack, Bryce McGowens, Alonzo Verge, Delano Banton, and Teddy Buckets were, they set each only helped the program take one step forward and two steps back. The amount of talent that those 5 guys had was unreal, but their talent didn’t translate into wins.

I’ll take this years unselfish underdogs over any of those previous stars in a heartbeat.

This year's team would get in those previous squads' heads so quickly with how they play defense and just grind. Plus, I don't see anyone chasing Keisei around

Yep. It's so refreshing to watch a team play unselfish basketball. They also are having fun out there and that makes it easier to win.

Can we start gofundme so his parents can live here and watch all of his senior season? Seeing the clips of them today, you can tell how proud and happy they are of him.

I think if he has NBA aspirations, he will stay. He seems like a good kid that will have a good conversation with Fred about next season.

If he wants to play in the NBA, he will go through the draft process this season and then come back to school.

If he's given up, he will go get the bag in Japan

One thing I loved from Fred in the second half is that he used the Rodents fear of KT against them. Sammy G scored a lot of second half points off of KT screens. They were so scared of leaving KT the slightest chance of being open, they didn’t switch and gave SG room to the hoop. Great unselfish play by KT for setting solid picks as well.
