His defense despite being on the small end is the biggest surprise for me. Kid is a tough as nails defender and takes some really tough assignments

Yeah being able to score how he does when he's on and not turning himself into a net negative when he's off is an underrated skill

I am excited about him Lawrence for sure. They both seem to have IT. Lawrence could use a lot of free-throw work though.

I think it’s more mental from him right now than anything. His shot is too good to only be shooting sub 45%

And that is what kind of plagued him from more PT last season I feel like. He would constantly just heave and heave until he got one to go or just shoot once he caught it

Yeah. He's fortunately had enough success scoring this season that he's started to have his own gravity on offense where teams will sink toward him so he can't get shots off, but I think he's become pretty underrated defensively. He's really active and you can tell he gives a shit about playing defense

Am I crazy to think this team got better due to the bad luck of injuries? Gary and Bandumel getting hurt forced us to play Keisei, Lawrence, Hoiberg a lot more minutes…and it improved our offense immensely!
