A breakdown of all the brackets out there:
Nebraska averages a high 3 seed

Rutgers had two top 5 picks last season and finished three games under .500.
Kansas has 3 lottery picks on their team this season and was a TCU meltdown away from losing their 6th game of the season last night.
"Superior talent" doesn't matter as much anymore. Age, experience, and fit within a system is a massive component now.

I watched most of the Texas tech-Houston game last night and the floor was full of super athletic guys who will get looks in the NBA
But it was infuriating to watch at times. They were completely out of control turning it over and bricking 3s. Most of the offense was 4 guys standing around while watching someone try to drive
Its funny you bring that up, as I was watching the TCU at KU game, I kept thinking Nebraska would beat both teams. And what both squads were doing on defense was an abomination.
I think this is pretty well said. We have a ‘team’ that is playing at a very high level defensively and each player understands and plays their role in it all.
I think they recognize in this case, the collective is better than individual selfishness. We don’t care who here gets the credit or fame, just play within the system and win.
They play incredible team defense, relentless really, and play within the offensive system.
Doesn’t hurt either that they have a bunch of guys that can shoot the three…get hot and look out.
The difference this year is that our game travels very well it seems. We used to be super reliant on at least one player going off to get wins.
Pickle Smoochers picked up a solid win over Villanova last night, which will help our SOS a bit

Kind of crazy we have 5 Q1 wins and it doesn’t include Pickle Smoochers or Kansas St. 1/3 of our wins are against that level.
This has undoubtedly come up, but he would've been a nice exciting white to have on the roster this year. Wonder why it never clicked with him and Fred?
Felt like he never got confident and things just spiraled on him. Kind of like Blue this year where he looked like he has never played basketball before
The crazy thing about that kid is we always heard he was crazy athletic and yet he always seemed hesitant while lacking confidence.

This is the real story here. It is also what most of the more critical metric ratings are saying about us. We can beat almost anyone with our defense, but............... if we get behind we don't have someone who can take over a game and be nails on offense. I love this team, but if a "Kesei" was on this team it would be a different story. Frager could develop into a real value, but right now he is a RFR still getting his feet wet.
I think we finish with about 3 to 4 losses, which by any normal standard is outrageously wonderful!

He was a top 30 recruit or something like that until he had some vision surgery or some shit his senior year of high school.
