Yeah I'm not sure how that's a vertical move unless we can throw loads of money at him. Mizzou has way more basketball history than us. SEC so at least similar conference. Would be interesting to know how NIL compares but guessing it isn't much different.

Our basketball NIL isn't really that great to begin with. Nothing compared to football anyway.

He's killing it at Mizzou. He's only moving up from there. Being completely real with ourselves, we are not "up".
Idk what you’re talkin about. It’s about to be dancin season in March for the fightin Fred’s

No. I just read the post I replied to.
Oh gotcha. Well here
Former NU assistant Armon Gates’ brother is building something at Mizzou. #1 recruiting class. I think when we move on from Fred at the end of this season we need to hire Armon. He’s a great coach and can recruit. Give him a shot

I just assumed you actually meant Dennis instead of a dude with absolutely no head coaching experience going straight into a B1G head coaching gig. Sounds like a great idea!
I really don't mind an assistant hire. Our only other real option is G5 head coach and that's always a crap shoot too.

The point is really moot because I don't see Fred going anywhere. Turd likes him too much, which will probably end up hurting us if his trend of not even making any kind of postseason continues.

I'd prefer we go back to what we did with Miles and hiring a HC from a mid-major. Try and hire somebody who's hungry to build something and feel like they've earned the opportunity to HC at the highest level in CBB.

except that Missouri has the new state law in their favor with in state recruits where they can start earning NIL $$$$ while in high school if they sign with a Missouri School. Lots of good basketball players in St Louis, KC, Columbia & Springfield that they have a leg up on financially.
