Game Thread Nebrasketball Game #3: Fairleigh Dickinson [Wednesday, November 13 7:00pm B1G+]

Looked better tonight. Am concerned that a lot of our points are coming from the free throw line through 3 games. Gotta make shots to beat better teams that aren’t going to be fouling due to lack of talent/size.

I think playing in the Pentagon will have these guys juiced with the basically home atmosphere and a little change of scenery.

How a large majority of people on here convinced themselves this team would be good is amazing. Picked up a bunch of dudes who couldn’t get it done at their old schools. It’s like you guys never watched Nebraska basketball before.

How you're already coming to this conclusion 3 games into the season is amazing.

"Couldn't get it done" - what does that mean? Essegian was on the Big Ten All-Freshman team before AJ Storr came in. Morgan produced in a conference that has had plenty of players then produce at the Power 4/5/6 level. Griffiths played on a team that didn't seem to care about offense. Rollie had the Utes in a solid spot before he got injured and it derailed their season. Meah is what Meah is - he'll be out there for a defensive presence, catch some lobs, and then call it a day. He'll be used in spot situations.

I still think the sky is the limit for Berke. The Big Turk will be in shape here soon and will somewhat mitigate the loss of Mast. He has all of the tools to be successful in Fred's offense.

Through the first 4 games I have a few concerns, but I still think this team could be pretty good. I think it's early to write them off. Sunday is a huge opportunity.

Think they're a fringe NIT team honestly. Just don't see it. I'll be up in Sioux Falls Sunday to support regardless.

That's fair. Just way too early to make any sweeping predictions to write them off.

I am still optimistic since they are defending at a really high rate and have missed a lot of good looks and bunnies on the other end of the court. If the shot making ability doesn't change in the month, then I will begin to worry that it isn't just a trend, and that they just won't be a good shooting team.

I need some of what you’re smoking. Essegian was booted out of the rotation at Wisconsin, Berke barely played at UCLA, Griffith’s I was a little excited for but he still has never produced. Rollie, Meah & Morgan were never expected to be anything special. They’re just decent role players. Not sure why anyone would think if you combined them, you would get a solid team. And yeah I didn’t expect Berke to be so fat, honestly been a bit of a disappointment for me so far. I didn’t come to this conclusion now, I thought the same in the offseason.
