I'd rather come home and sleep in my own bed and use my own facilities for practice and recovery.

They have chartered jets so I doubt it saves much.

It's a 1 day prep (Sunday) then back on a flight (Monday). 2 nights in a hotel bed isn't going to impact anything more than taking a flight 24 hours before a game.

Eliminating unnecessary travel like this, with a short turnaround, has been done multiple times with hoops over the years.
