Jamar Johnson hit one against #3 Kansas in Lincoln. Circa 93

Hoppen hit one in the 80's.

Shields may have had one too, can't remember if there was any time left or not.

Jamar Johnson's was the only one that compares. This one was better. Illinois could be a Final Four team AND it was on the road.

Garcia is getting minutes to spell Berke and Mast. It'll be interesting what happens with Oogie returns as Garcia has earned his minutes the last 2 games.

I am well aware of different positions, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t impact who is in the rotation. When Essegian was healthy he was 8th man in rotation and we were going smaller lineups with him on court. It’s no coincidence Garcia only started getting minutes when Essegian got injured. He has taken full advantage of it and it’s more balanced rotations as a result.

Garcia would not be playing if it wasn’t for Essegian’s injury.

Garcia was playing early too, that wasn't mop-up duty. He played 3 minutes against craydone, in a blowout. And today, he didn’t even play 4 minutes in the 1H.

Essegian isn't closing todays game over Garcia, or even Berke. Jared replaced Berke after his 4th foul around the 6 or 7 minute mark and the rest is history. If you think Fred goes with Essegian, against Illinois, over Garcia then just say it so I can quit responding to you.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Berke taking a bow to the face against Wisconsin was huge for Garcia. If Mast was going to get any rest in the second half against Wisconsin, Garcia had to be the dude who played and he made the most of his minutes, got rewarded with a big time chance today, and absolutely delivered again.

Underwood put Sam over huge in his post game. Said he dominated the game, Sam was +23 in a 3 point win which is insane and just does absolutely every little thing you need to do to win basketball games.

IDK about NBCSN. I looked for it on Dish, but couldn't find it there. Was trying to set a recording for the game since I knew I'd be out working on a job today. I do have YT premium, will look there. Thanks!
