RW:

Don't have a lot to report from Pryce Sandfort's visit to Nebraska. I do know the visit went very well, as expected, and NU feels like it's in a good spot after the trip.

However, I can confirm that the Cockeye transfer plans to take another visit to Illinois next. That's the only other visit I've heard of as of today.

At this point, my read is it will come down to Nebraska, Illinois, or a return to Cockeye. But the fact that the Huskers got the first visit is notable in terms of Sandfort's level of mutual interest.

I'll pass along anything else I hear as I get it.

Leave without mute and visit elsewhere, prolly won’t mute

He has been offered 7 figures to go elsewhere, and his only connections to the state of Nebraska are the staff at Omaha.

No draw or reason for him to consider sticking around here
If we have a $6-$7 million budget. What do you think the highest we offer someone? I was trying to think through how we would balance that out.

5 Starters - Average of $800k -$4mil
6-8 guys - Average of $500k - $1.5mil
Scrubs/Walk Ons - Total $500k?

Top starter or two making over $1mil?

I was close @park_neb

Dix’s decision will not be about money. His mother is sick, life-threateningly sick. Being 15 minutes away from any of the hospitals in Council Bluffs or Omaha is the largest factor here.

I’m sure that his family will support any decision he makes and every man has a number he simply can’t turn down. But family is what will make this decision for Josh and I still feel he ends up at Pickle Smoochers.

Some send this boy multiple pretty women from Lincoln to him STAT and get him hooked. This is the only way. N

Just to level set with everyone here - and I don’t know this to be the case specifically with this guy but wanted to share more as a PSA - take these posts with a grain of salt

It could literally be someone from 1890 contacted his agent to say “hey curious what he’s looking for in a situation and price point” and that gets translated into “Nebraska has reached out”

We’re going to see a lot of these posts with NU tagged to players, doesn’t always mean we’re seriously pursuing them or interested
I choose to believe we're aggressively going after 40 guys from the portal, and will sign half of them.
