I agree. If I remember correctly Meah when on the floor averaged getting 25% of the rebounds from opponents missed shots. It would be great to not only have an elite rim protector but also someone preventing the 2nd & 3rd shots by our opponents that have haunted us over the years. Made me crazy to see us hold an opponent to 40% shooting but they had 15+ more shots than us because of offensive boards.
25% feels really good. As of today, it feels like Nebrasketball's got some good depth...not everyone is gonna be able to score. We need guys that can do other things. So to me, there's plenty of value in rebounding, ball control, and assists. I've personally always found great value in a big that does nothing other than rebound and controls space (screening and rim protecting). Hopefully Meah can do that. Without seeing the team, my hunch is we'll rebound and defend pretty well. #NFredWeTrust

Maybe I'm drinking too much Kool Aid but I think the basketball world is sleeping on Husker Hoops, again. They did it to us last season and I think at some point we will be ranked in the Top 25 even though they pick us to be near the bottom of the B1G, again.

I think you're right. I also think neither of us are biased at all.

Shouldn't the latter always be applicable?

You remember that fuckin fiasco? It seemed like up until an hour before his announcement that he was coming here. Then in comes Robin Washut “Got bad news guys.”
Yeah. Fucking Heady publishes an article the morning of his commitment about how Fred doesn't need big men for his system and away he went. Just an absolute debacle to lose a guy who'd go on to be a national championship caliber center.

That's incredibly delusional given that Robin had reported the UConn coaches pushed that article to him

And when you look at the big men we have you can see a prominent role in the offense whether it be shooting or passing.

Sonogo made a solid choice. But Heady was completely wrong and it hurt us.

Considering Abdelmassih promised Bryce McGowens $1milllion and he barely saw $100k I can only imagine how much he was overpromising Adama Sanogo.

It's surprising to me that McGowens doesn't have sour grapes or anything. He regularly comes back and appears to try and help with recruiting. I suppose he's making a lot of money now so he may not care as much anymore.

He got his money
