This post is probably going to have a lot of sunshine pumping. I was already high on this team. If anything today made me even more excited. This is the deepest Nebraska team I've ever seen. I have no idea how Fred is going bring down this rotation as you play too many guys it's hard to get into a rhythm IMO.

Brice, Juwan, and Sam. We already know what we have in these three. I think Brice and even Juwan are undervalued by the conference. Brice had 18 today, but it felt like he could've got 30 if he wanted.

Berke - He has so much potential. Nice looking stroke and a tough guard. He did miss a couple contested bunnies that he should've finished. A nice double double. 13 points 13 rebounds. He could be a star.

Worster - I was unsure what to think about Worster. I've watched him play since he was a freshman at Utah St as I've always paid attention to what Craig Smith is doing, but after seeing him today run Fred's offense I'm completely sold. I really liked how he ran the offense. It was nice to see real PG play. He only took one shot that wasn't at the rim. A long two with a toe on the line and he hit it. I think most will really like the way he plays. Always seems to make the right decision. If he can be more efficient from 3 and get into the 33-34% range that would be a bonus.

Meah - In the nugs last week it was said Meah was the biggest disappointment of the newcomers. Whoever said that either doesn't know what you're getting with Meah or they aren't to be trusted. Meah today was what I thought he'd be. Lob threat, rebounding, and rim protector. I believe he had 9 rebounds but he was the most noticable on the defensive side. When he was in the game the white team had nothing going to the rim. He was definitely a presence. Nebraska has never had a rim protector like this. He just needs to stay out of foul trouble. He hit the floor hard twice today and the crowd held their breath. He took out Morgan once too. Something I noticed is that it seemed every time he got a defensive rebound, his first instinct was to dribble. Which is not his game. I'm sure Hoiberg will shut that shit down pretty quick.

Frager and Jacobsen - I was very impressed with both. Jacobsen knocked down open shots, and Frager was very athletic and looked like he belonged. Frager looked B1G ready as well. However, as impressed as I was with both. I don't believe either will be a part of the rotation.

The above was the red team with the exception of Hoiberg that was on the white team.

Essegian - Game high 20 points on 6-12 shooting from 3. If he shoots this year like he did today it's going to be hard to keep him off the floor. To begin the game the red team did a good job of keeping track of him early. However, whenever he got an open look he made the red team pay.

Griffith - I really like this kid. Every time I watched Rutgers play last year I'd single him out and say to myself he'd be so good in Hoiberg's offense. Luckily we're going to get to see it. He didn't shoot well today, 1-7 from 3, I believe. But you don't realize how athletic he is until you see him. Put back dunk off a missed Essegian 3. He has a lot of potential. IMO there will be games this year where he'll shine.

Morgan - I love the way he plays and think he'll be pretty good. He didn't show a lot today. Early he tried to go at Meah and Meah shut him down. He had a nice steal for a lay up. Good looking stroke from the free throw line.

Ulis - I'm not sure what to think of him. There were a few times today where I'd think he may not bring much, then he'd make a nice play. I think how much he plays this year will probably depend on Worster. I think Ulis is a step down from Worster.

Janowski - Played some PG today. Moved the ball well. Didn't shoot well, 1-5 from 3. I think he's going to be very good down the road if he stays in the program. But this team is so deep, especially at guard. Before today I thought he'd be a part of the rotation, but after today I think he's on the outside looking in. Unless there's injuries.

Bolis - Didn't show much, didn't play much, and IMO looked like he has a ways to go. IDK if it was on this board or ON3, but there's been talk among posters thinking he'd be a part of the rotation and be that 4th big. Based on today he won't be. Only a sophomore though, it'll be interesting to see how he develops if he stays in the program.

As I said a lot of sunshine pumping. I really like this team and was even more sold after today. If anyone else was there and saw things differently, let me know. It would probably be good to pump the breaks a bit. I don't know if it's been mentioned on here but next Saturday they have a closed door scrimmage against Utah in Salt Lake City. As with every closed door scrimmage in the past stats and sometimes final scores do leak. I'll be watching for any of that info and will post it on here.

That Rollie and Meah stat line for me = ❤️. Encouraging.
I agree. If I remember correctly Meah when on the floor averaged getting 25% of the rebounds from opponents missed shots. It would be great to not only have an elite rim protector but also someone preventing the 2nd & 3rd shots by our opponents that have haunted us over the years. Made me crazy to see us hold an opponent to 40% shooting but they had 15+ more shots than us because of offensive boards.

Maybe I'm drinking too much Kool Aid but I think the basketball world is sleeping on Husker Hoops, again. They did it to us last season and I think at some point we will be ranked in the Top 25 even though they pick us to be near the bottom of the B1G, again.
