he's good but lets not swoon over the 300 yds as its situational ( last drive) and unsustainable ( Hail Mary)

He needs to do it when it counts ( throw for 300 in a big close win )

We can circle jerk decisions all we want, give up 286 on the ground, and don’t even sniff 100 yourselves, you don’t win ever! I would get 10 million and spend it on o line and d line.

That is the bottom line. Biff's Butthole Surfers was in control from the start. Football 101: run the ball (us: 1.4 YPC), stop the run (them: 8.7 YPC), win the turnover battle (even) and protect the passer. We were 0 for 4 and 3 of them were blow outs.

Biff's Butthole Surfers looked the stronger program. 10 yrs of recruiting all high 4s and 5* recruits - it's very difficult to crash this party.

We can pick at position coaches and playcalling all we want but the bottom line is that was a clear separation between good recruits and elite recruits. Jimmies and the Joe's.

USC and PSU will be similar, likely.

But the other 6 games we should be at worst at parity and at best the better players. If Rhule can go 6-0 in those 6 games than he is worth all we are paying him. The test this yr is to win all the games you "should" win. We haven't done that in a long long time.

Well yes but we also caught a hail mary to end the first half. So the scoreboard looked better than it actually was unfortunately.

If we play them then times we lose at least nine. With four of them being blow out losses.

After today…I hate this fucking loss…but we are 8-4 to 9-3 this year.

yes it counts, But when the hitter in baseball hits a popup and gets on base because the two infielders let it drop by looking at each other, the hit counts but I'm not praising the hitter for the popup.

He played well under the circumstances, but it wasn't as good as the numbers say it was.

I think that’s a part of the problem is we don’t have the money. I mean schools are spending more on their rosters AND paying their high school commits. I think we should be able to have at least top level starters on O and D vs our peer group but maybe that’s not possible idk.

We do need to be able to spend more money. It's just how college football works these days. If you aren't spending at the level of the top teams, you likely will never break through to be in that group of top teams.

We have some talent, but have some glaring holes in talent areas to say the least. We have lost players it would be nice to have right now. I mean Hausman and Kewan Lacey (I guess maybe we never "had" Lacey) sure would be nice to have.

But, we have enough skill player talent to be really good. Not enough at RB, but otherwise the talent is there at the skill positions. It is the O and D Lines that are hugely deficient compared to top teams. We were one of the most dominant teams in college football for over 3 decades until we somehow forgot that games are usually won and lost on the LOS. Gotta go out and get O and D line players, yes that means spending a lot of $. But we see what happens when we are still operation on a budget with the roster compared to programs we want to get to a level playing field with.
