Nebraska media is drinking that Koolaid

Not falling for it. Going with a prediction of 6-8 wins until proven otherwise. I think the sweet spot is 7 wins, which would likely be viewed as a failure.

I'd be O.K. with 8, but not thrilled with 8. Seven wins would be acceptable considering the history over the last 10-15 years. But there would be gnashing of teeth.

I'd be thrilled with 9 wins this year and building for a 10+ win season next year

At least for me right now:

6 wins or less, time for Rhule to go. We've given him everything he could have wanted and if he can't get better than 6 regular season win in year 3, it's time to go, with 2.5 gimmie games, that's 3-6 against peer schools, time to find a new coach.

7 wins. Not happy, and some changes need to happen, but need to look at the circumstances, injuries etc?

8 wins, alright still on track, just a really slow one.

9 wins +, happy, things are looking good.

This conference is rigged and still hates us. Saban in his prime would probably top out at 8 wins here.

Unrelated, but imagine if we cheated like Michigan. They 100% would have used that to try and kick us out. We would be homeless and begging the Big 12 to let us back in.

I'm not sure if Rhule realizes it or not but there is a lot of expectations for this upcoming season. If things start to go sideways things are going to heat up real quick.

Hell, in 2020 we only wanted to play football and they wanted to kick us out.

Real quick. Rhule has gotten everything he could have wanted. The fans and AD have spent a lot on Rhule, more than any other coach in our history and it's time for some return on that investment. We are nice, well mannered, faithful and patient fans, but it's time to see some wins on the field, time for the plan or process to produce some winning results.

We've got a pretty easy conference schedule this year. Helluva lot easier than Wisconsin, I'm sure #2ndChoice thinks the B1G hates him.
I hope they have a decade of total shit at minimum. Retribution for about 15,000 uncalled holds. And that’s just against us.
