32 teams each.
Seems like a lot. How many teams are left out?

There are about 24 teams in each division that miss the playoffs. And yes, its silly. I think it makes more sense just to play 9 game seasons and have a top 16 teams in the playoffs.

There will be at least 8 to 10 first round games in each division where the score is like 40-0 at halftime.

Agreed.
Gotta be a bunch of 2-6 and 3-5 teams in the playoffs. Just silly IYAM

Edit: just counted the one in the OP and there are 6 3-5 teams in those divisions. At least no 2-6 ones I guess.

The correct answer is they should consolidate more schools.

The correct answer is they should consolidate more schools.

There are some real stupid ones out there costing a lot of tax payers money. Here are some of the Gems:

- Stuart High School playing 6-man football, while literally sitting 9 miles West of the Atkinson-West Holt High SChool football Stadium.
- Osmond High School being forced to forfiet most of their season in 8-man due to a numbers issue when they literally sit 8 miles East of Plainview, also playing 8-man football

- Bertrand and Loomis, sitting 8 miles apart
- Overton and Elm Creek, 7 miles apart
- Kenesaw even having a high school when its 6 miles West of Adams Central High SChool.

But the worst?

-Giltner having a standalone high School, while sitting 5 miles of Doniphan.

A few of many many examples. People like having their own school.

Giltner to Doniphan is a 15 minute drive.
Kenesaw to Adams central is 20 minutes

your take on this is your douchiest by far.

does everyone live at the school?
There's a happy medium here. You also hear of kids driving, getting dropped off or riding the bus in Western Nebraska that are further than what was suggested earlier in the thread. You know what you're getting into when you live in a small town, rural (or remote) area.

If taxpayers are willing to pay for their own school with tax increases after a vote, then keep the school. That's my simpleton take. And yes, I attended school in a small town and there was a lot of tension when people were opting out due to taxes. But the school that wanted to stay open, stayed open - mainly due to increased taxes in that district.

Bertrand and Loomis have a blood feud

Osmond is co-op with randolph for basketball already but not football which makes zero sense.

Plainview-Cre1ghton is the likely co-op if the adults can grow up and get it done. It’s like 7 miles as the crow flies. They share a legion baseball team and youth football program

Cre1ghtons 2 best football players transferred to Plainview this year out of frustration

The co-op needs to be Osmond-Randolph and Plainview-Cre1ghton

It’s the adults who still have fueds from 30 years ago that show up to the board meetings and keep these things from happening

Shelton and Roseland are pretty much the same distance for Kenesaw as AC.
