I tend to roll my eyes at people who talk about "offensive identity". Mostly, what they actually want is just want a nice, easy label they can slap on the offense. Like "OK, they run an option play now and then, that means they're an Option Offense™." Nevermind all the things they do on the other 90% of their snaps...
