Ncaa 24 still a go for this summer

Some changes I saw mentioned:

-tackling has been revamped. Apparently going with the Madden 25’ tackling mechanics. I don’t play Madden so not sure what that details

-trophy room returned

-can designate protected rivalries when doing custom conferences so you don’t have situations where major rivalry games not on schedule like this years version

-formation subs!

-real head coaches and assistant coaches in the game

-homefield advantage will be even more significant. Read like clock distortions where you can’t see the time if you have a young QB with bad awareness

-better entrances and stadium stuff. Like V Tech comes out to enter sandman this year. Mr bright side for Michigan after 3rd quarter.

-visits change in dynasty. If a recruit is local to you will have advantage as it will cost less points (read 10-15 points) to bring him in on visit.

-transfer portal supposed to be way bigger and revamped.

Just a few of the key points I saw.

So they brought back a few things they had 12 years ago, one of which was critically essential and missed last year (formation subs). Kewl.

Seems to be getting rave reviews.

Despite him being a bit of a frat boy, watching his videos and how he thinks through his route adjustments or audibles is pretty helpful. He’ll tell you 100 times, but he was a QB in the NFL so understands how to dissect a defense very well. His analysis is legit. It never mattered what he called, because he’d change everything at the line based on what he saw the defense doing. He was dominating people last year.

Oh, he’s also paid by EA, so he might be motivated right now to not be critical. I know he does stuff for them at tournaments, but he also is going to work with them on gameplay adjustments.
No formation subs on 25 was absolutely mind bottling
I didn’t play the game enough last year but I just assumed I wasn’t smart enough to figure out how to do the formation subs the whole time.

I felt the same way until asking my BIL who told me it wasn’t possible

I also read no more “no look” interceptions. If the defensive player can’t see the ball, they can no longer intercept it. That alone is a huge improvement.

Any major changes to dynasty? Hopefully recruiting UI is better this year.
Recruiting seems harder.

Every prospect has a deal breaker so school grades are really important. Nebraska has shitty grades in the beta so literally only have like 5-10 4 star plus guys interested to start and because grades are low locked out of most people.

You have to progress to elite recruiter tier 4 in order to increase hours for individual prospects. That makes it much harder as computer clearly has ability to give more than 50 points in most cases if you start with custom coach. Makes assistants elite recruiters very high demand if they have it unlocked.

There are over 1800 players in portal. With all players having deal breakers if they are below the dealbreaker at end of year they will attempt to portal and you have to persuade them. You can actually set it in settings for a max amount of players that can enter each season from your team to limit the amount if you want. A lot of QB’s as they have heavy playing time deal breakers.

Visits cost less points if it’s a local kid. For example, a Nebraska kid would only cost 10 points instead of 40 to bring in on a visit.

There are way more archetypes in the game now.

Is there a lvl cap this time?

100, cost 8 points to upgrade tier 1 now instead of 5.
So do you feel like you can unlock more than before?

Guess I was just annoyed with the system. They keep you from being able to unlock everything so you’re supposed to hire to fill the gaps but since there’s no control over AC progression it’s pretty much a crap shoot.
