We're now a week out from Black Friday and firmly entrenched in the off-season. Based on stuff I've read on here and elsewhere, this is my current wishlist for Nebraska to lead us to another offseason national championship.

1) Keep Tony White on board ✅

2) Move Satt to Co-OC/TE coach

3) Hire Sean Ryan as QB coach

4) Barthel moves on. Hire Jeff Nixon as Co-OC/RB coach

5) Pick up a grad transfer QB, preferably Will Howard

6) Pick up a freshman transfer QB (i.e., Lincoln Kienholz, Sam Leavitt, etc.)

7) Profit

Oh my god - totally forgot about Nixon until you mentioned. Would be an incredible fill in for Barthel should that smoke have some FIRE to it.

Why number 4? I like Barthel.

Why Sean Ryan?
He has past connections to Rhule and, of the QB coaches with past connections to Rhule, I feel like he would be the best "get." Has coached Eli Manning, Matthew Stafford, and Deshaun Watson, which is something you could really sell to recruits. Also is only working as an analyst at South Carolina so is someone that could be hired away from easily and hit the ground running pretty quicky.

Virtually no chance with Sean Ryan. He is an NFL guy.

Guys that we have a realistic chance with who are currently in the NFL are:
1. Glenn Thomas (Steeler's Offensive Assistant)
2. Jake Peetz (Ram's Passing Game Specialist)
3. David Corley Jr (Steeler's Assistant QB Coach)
4. Joe Brady (Bill's Interim OC/QB Coach)

There are a handful of others that would be interesting, but don't have a connection to Rhule in the past. Two names I saw that were extremely interesting were West Virginia's Pat White (Off Assistant with Chargers) and JT Barrett (Assistant QB Coach with the Lions). Not a lot of coaching experience with them, but definitely names that would generate a huge buzz for recruiting....
