Took our little kids to the Leavenworth location a few weeks ago because they were about to turn into lunatics if they didn’t eat… they both absolutely loved it. My oldest said he wants to eat there every day.

Our go to after closing the bars at 2 AM was The Village Inn Pancake House on West Dodge. We liked to think of it as an upscale Waffle House which serves that role in the South.
True story, I can't recall ever having been in a Waffle House sober.
My first Waffle House experience was VERY drunk, and it’s never tasted as good as it did that night.
Where was the drive-in theater?
It's called "Quasar" (like the old Motorola TV brand), and is located on Highway 36 west of Bennington and north of Valley.

That was wonderful and a lot of truth in there disguised as humor. "Why do you wave at every car? Because in Nebraska you might be cousins."
When I was 12 I went to a family reunion in Grand Island at some city park. There were over 500 people there and I knew about a dozen of them but was related to all of the attendees.
When I walk the dog in the AM and the PM, I wave at every car.
Not because 'we might be cousins'
But because one day I will have fallen and not be able to get up and someone driving by will think: 'oh hey, that's the dude. with the handsome puppy. who waved at me for X years, lets stop and help.'
