Beautiful 57 degree morning for shipping yearlings off the flint hills gentlemen

54 degrees this morning when I was driving through Oberlin KS

stopped at the Casey’s in Smith Center for a lovely slice of breakfast pizza

have a meeting in 30 mins in Beloit, with some people I wish every small town in KS had because they actually understand that in Rural America your town is either growing or it’s dying, there ain’t no third direction

83 degrees today in paradise…also I highly recommend just flying into anchorage and taking the train to Seward. From there you can do a glacier tour. Hope back on the train and go to Denali. See a good chunk of the state without having to get a rental car

You should be teaching a class for Boomers on how to use the Internet

There is a 0.0% chance my Dad could even comprehend what a message board is.

My Dad is pretty good with tech like phones and computers because of his job requiring him to use them before it was a normal thing to have a PC and cellphone…. But when it comes to the Internet the guy basically only knows how to use E-bay and YouTube. (He watches all the old concerts and TV shows he wanted to watch growing up and never could)

I really think "GenMod" was a universal sign-on for the Yahoo! assigned mod team. They probably felt they needed to take back the board when the legacy mods held the 2nd annual "ban a poster" contest. The 1st one was kind of funny, but they lost control a bit with the 2nd one and some effeminate anfaggits escalated it to Yahoo! for resolution. It you're (yore) a thin-skinned individual, tMB probably wasn't the place for you to begin with.

I lack a subscription to any Rivals sites these days, so good luck to tMB. In its heyday, it was a pretty entertaining place to waste some time, and one helluva place for breaking news.

And tech makes the propeller on my beanie spin. It's been a fascinating journey to watch it gain steam and accelerate over the last 20+ years. The future has the potential to be remarkable ... and if it trends the wrong way, utterly terrifying. It's my hope that subsequent generations open their eyes to both ends of the spectrum and make intelligent decisions on how best to use the tools available to them vs. being managed and manipulated by them.

Unfortunately you were born 4 years too late to take advantage of delaying your own and filing for half of your wife's benefit in the meantime. My parents were just old enough to take advantage of that and it's a huge bonus.

low key sick brag about how much money your Parents made in their career bruh (since social security is based on earned income over the years)



PS: I used to have to explain this to farmers who would always have the goal of showing no income at the end of the year and then would be shocked when they found out they were gonna get like $50 a month in social security. Asking for cash and hiding income is great but gotta understand on paper the Government thinks you were a bum for 40 years.
