Nebraska football will host a small, but important group of official visitors this weekend as the Huskers continue a busy spring of official visitors.
Here's a look at each of the prospects on campus this weekend:
2025 Providence Day School (N.C.) Offensive tackle David Sanders Jr.
The Huskers will get a chance to make a big swing this weekend, as the program will host No. 2 overall prospect David Sanders Jr. The 6-foot-6, 270-pound Sanders has been in contact with Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola of late, and will get his first look at Lincoln this weekend. The Huskers are playing a bit from behind — most of the schools in the thick of it for Sanders have already received an unofficial visit, in addition to the official visits still scheduled to Clemson (May 31), Georgia (June 7), Tennessee (June 14), Alabama (June 18) and Ohio State (June 21). Sanders has already visited South Carolina officially. Sanders' whole family is expected to be on the visit with him.
2025 Bixby (Okla.) Offensive tackle Broderick Shull
The 6-foot-5, 275-pound Shull will be making his second trip to Lincoln in a month, but this time for an official visit. Shull raved about his trip to Lincoln in April and quickly put the Huskers in his official visit plans. In addition to Nebraska, Shull also has trips locked in to Auburn (May 31), Texas Tech (June 14) and Texas A&M (June 21). Shull is the No. 196 overall prospect in the country according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. The 247Sports Crystal Ball currently points to Auburn, but the Huskers have a chance to continue some momentum in Shull's recruitment.
2025 Buchholz (Fla.) EDGE Nicolas Clayton
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Clayton was on his way to the airport Thursday afternoon to take his first look at Nebraska. The three-star EDGE tallied 52 tackles, three sacks eight tackles for loss and 13 quarterback hurries as a junior. Nebraska is the first official visit for Clayton, who also has trips to UCF (May 29), Duke (June 7) and USF (June 21) locked in over the coming weeks. Wisconsin and other programs are also still in the mix for Clayton.
2024 Omaha Westside safety Caleb Benning
The in-state safety has been signed to Nebraska for several months, but never took an official visit to Lincoln during his recruiting process. He will do so this weekend, with less than a month remaining until he officially begins his Husker career. Benning had been slated to take an official visit near the late signing day, but inclement weather forced scheduling issues with Westside's basketball team and lining up the official visit. In addition to getting things lined up to start at Nebraska in June, Benning could also be a valuable recruiter among the three 2025 official visitors.
We have clearly shifted to a philosophy of getting early/first official visits and hopeing to make a bar-setting impressions that withstands the test of time as they continue to visit the top programs in the nation for the next month and a half. It will be interesting to see what kind of fruit this bears. Can we impress enough to cancel some of those later visits? Can we stick in their minds as they are wined and dined by champioinship-level teams for the next six weeks?

Must have been a male staffer that couldn't find the CLT.Evidently we fcked up the CTL to LNK.
I guess it's CLT?
You don't see this staff/support staff miss those details often. Especially with the #2 kid in the country.
