Indirectly related, last night 247 tweeted out the composite AP poll from its 1936 inception through last season
Rhule has a 1 in 10 chance of equalling the record of the worst HC in modern Nebraska football history.I'm going to go 20/65/5/10
20 is does well. Like competing for B1G and making the 12 team playoff.
65 is does well but more like 7-5 to 9-3 range.
5 Health or whatever
10 Flames out like Frost
1 in 10 chance of not being able to resurrect the dead. It's probably lower. And the top end is probably lower too. Might be 5/88/5/2Rhule has a 1 in 10 chance of equalling the record of the worst HC in modern Nebraska football history.
Rhule better get in the film room then! Lol
Let's you and me be honest, there isn't a 1 in 10 chance Rhule will be the worst HC in Nebraska football history.1 in 10 chance of not being able to resurrect the dead. It's probably lower. And the top end is probably lower too. Might be 5/88/5/2
No but there is a chance he'll fail. Failing could mean being within a game of .500 for the next 4 years.Let's you and me be honest, there isn't a 1 in 10 chance Rhule will be the worst HC in Nebraska football history.
Hey, failing here has meant 9-3....so really depends on your definition. Lots of coaches can and would fail with that water mark in today's B1G / CFB landscape. No but there is a chance he'll fail. Failing could mean being within a game of .500 for the next 4 years.
Failing means moving on from him in less than 5 years and not because he chose to leave.Hey, failing here has meant 9-3....so really depends on your definition. Lots of coaches can and would fail with that water mark in today's B1G / CFB landscape.
You really have to define what failing is for MKR before you make odds on it.
I would agree with that. But the bar is SUPER low compared to where it's been.Failing means moving on from him in less than 5 years and not because he chose to leave.
Agree that's the most likely scenario. Raiola committing and peer recruiting would significantly change that trajectory. I'm ready to be hurt again.I would agree with that. But the bar is SUPER low compared to where it's been.
If Rhule does this in year 1-5, he'll be considered a success by UNL admin:
Yr 1: 4-8
Yr 2: 7-5
Yr 3: 8-4
Yr 4: 8-4
Yr 5: 9-3
That would be a wild success vs where the bar was set by Riley and Frost. It won't be hard for Rhule to do that.
If Rhule does that trajectory, the question will be, do the fans accept it? Or do they revert to 2000-2010 expectations?Agree that's the most likely scenario. Raiola committing and peer recruiting would significantly change that trajectory. I'm ready to be hurt again.
