Curious about something, I don't follow basketball but this may apply to all major sports, how many recruits just say things like "oh yeah I could for sure see myself here" after a recruiting visit just to not make things awkward in person....even if they're not interested?

Happens all the time. My buddy, who played at KU and in the NFL, was helping 4 Star DE Amani Bledsoe from Lawrence, KS with his training and recruitment. Bledsoe was a regular visitor at Husker games. HuskerOnline announced they were writing an article about Bledsoe so I asked my buddy where we stood in his recruitment. He basically said Bledsoe couldn't stand Pelini and would never play for him or go to school in Lincoln but loved going to the games in Lincoln. Being treated like a King while in high school and only having a 3 hour drive along with our crazy game environments made it a quick fun trip for him. At the time he told me that Amani was either going to OU, FSU or one of the SEC schools. He liked warm weather and didn't want to be anywhere that had long cold winters. Amani was totally playing us but knew if he said the right things to coaches and the recruiting writers that he could keep the sideline passes open at Husker games. I passed that information on to Deab's writer and he still wrote a huge Puff Piece that made it sound like we were a favorite. Gotta sell those subscriptions with that tasty Kool Aid to the RSS members

I also had a direct connection to Isaiah Simmons and tried passing that information on to Deab and his crew. In usual fashion Dead ignored it. But NuFanForWhat reached out to me after seeing one of my posts and DM'd me asking me to keep him updated as he would get the info to the coaches. They were literally texting me questions that we were texting to Isaiah's dad and brother about his recruitment. I passed on their answers to them. The Gravy Train ended about 48 hours before signing day as his family would no longer answer our texts or calls. We figured it was Clemson as Venebles knocked the recruiting visit out of the park. Isaiah loved fishing and while at Clemson had full access to the coaches sweet ass boat. My friends would go down for Clemson games with Isaiah's family and they would take out the coaches boat. Venebles is a hell of a recruiter but a bit of a scum bag. His penis has gotten him in a bunch of trouble at numerous stops, and supposedly even with some of his fellow coaches wives. Him and Carl Pelini definitely think alike
