I agree we are now entering the realm of zealotry because there's nothing tangible/real about Dyldo's performance here to suggest he's worth 2 wins over anybody. this is just all hope/blind belief.

hell, he only won 1 more regular season game than HH as a true frosh and that was playing 12 games vs 8.

Dylan showed after Minnesota that he'd learned a lesson and you saw a much much quicker release.

after the Minn game he won just once more and amassed his lowest passing total of the season (141 yards, 2 turnovers) in doing so.

Cool. I see you are the low IQ type that thinks wins is an effective QB stat and would say things like Mahomes was trash in college.

Yeah, you're just unserious. No context, no ability to see what is obvious to everyone. There's a reason HH is a mediocre TE now and Dylan is not.

you asked if we are better with TJ vs DR at QB.

I answered - my win total expectation doesn't change at all. I don't think Dylan on his own is worth a single additional win compared to TJ.

No, I just think Brohm is better with QBs than anyone we have on staff. That doesn't mean we can't have great QBs, I just think his development will probably look better there because of conference and competition. I think the coaching in the B1G is overall the best in CFB.

DR replaced HH as our QB when he arrived, no?

he then won 1 more game than him, a guy who we'd all agree is a considerably below "replacement level" QB.

are you actually unaware of the statistical concept of Wins Above Replacement (WAR)?

I'm not at all.

TJ is much closer than HH to being a "replacement level" QB.

to say DR is worth 2 additional wins than that level of player is nothing but wishful thinking.

without him and with the new OL coach + DC, my hope is we're able to actually establish some of the things that Rhule preached about when hired and that have worked time and again throughout the history of football - getting tougher, running the goddamn ball and exerting our will on our opponents.

now, I will also acknowledge our ceiling with Rhule on the sideline is also extremely limited given he does nothing to provide us with any sort of strategic advantage over any opposing coaching staffs.

long story short - I don't think Dyldo is worth a single win above what can be expected with TJ at QB in 2026.
