Klatt on NU-OSU: "Raiola needs to make the layups too"

Basically everyone on O has to be better. It ain't rocket surgery. The question becomes at the end of the year what parts of the most easily changeable and offer the highest upside in the near/long term?
outside of a few Flatteryield supporters I dont think anyone would be upset at his replacement. for his price tag getting someone to at least make sure the offense is efficient at doing what they are supposed to do makes all to much sense.

we always need better talent though, regardless of DR.

Kid didn’t throw a touchdown pass in the month of October. At some point that’s not a Satt issue. He’s probably going to need to throw 7+ of them in November if we want to entertain a record of 8-4.

Yep, that Math checks out.

I agree. Raiola has not played great lately. He makes some of those easy throws and the offense is doing pretty good. Raiola deserves some criticism, but it goes against the mob mentality that Satterfield sucks and it's all his fault.
So make a convincing case for Satterfield then and put the mob to shame.

He has a 19 year old true freshman struggling with pre snap defensive reads and defenses have been mind fucking him in big 10 play. But in order to get the freshman qb Rhule and coach sat had to give him not only the starting job but also the ability to call audibles as sen for.
Said qb has no confidence and now continues to keep checking into quick passes and screens.

I don't think Klatt is necessarily wrong, but QBs miss throws all the time. Any of the guys up for first round pick this year will miss on long balls. The difference is those guys typically have multiple bites at the apple throughout the game.

Consistent inability to generate positive yards in the run game or hit in the quick game make those opportunities all or nothing.

It was pretty incredible though in the Ohio State game to see the only rub route we've run all season that didn't draw an OPI result in Banks getting tripped by the turf monster on what should have been a wide open TD.

If he was wide open then there is a 99.999% chance the throw flies over his head.

Objection, assumes facts not in evidence.

I honestly don't know. Did banks trip, was it a bad throw, or a little of both?
I think Dylan overthrew him TBH

Banks had a mini stumble but he's not a burner even at full speed. I don't think he was getting there.

Dylan has a wide array of speeds he throws to. He's got literal track stars and then slow as shit dudes. He's overthrown the slow as shit dudes (Liebentritt, Banks)

That's what it looked like live, but again, haven't watched a reply and don't know.

I'm believing that Banks is doplic based on the fact he can't really do anything consistently well
And if there's one thing we've learned about our ACC and Big12 portal guys (Banks, Ochaun Mathis) it's that those conferences suck giant rhino cock.

Being 2nd team ACC or Big 12 is kind of like making the Jamaican bobsled team apparently. Just show up on the day they're handing out uniforms & you made the team

I do think Satterfield is 90% of the problem. Need a new system entirely.

And we should show Dylan love at all times & make sure he feels valued here (bc Nebraska is home). You can call out a missed pass here or there though. I think you look like a moron going "our Dylan doesn't make mistakes." I doubt that he even wants that for himself. That's like some sort of weird Stepford Fan universe.

He just simply hasn't played great the last month or so, he gets some grace being a Freshman, but it's still the truth. Some folks are so scared he's going to leave that fair criticism isn't allowed.
