Payton McMane•03/15/23
Article written by😛ayton McMane

USC will host a very prestigious group of 40+ visitors on the weekend of Mar. 17-19, with hopes of bringing these players back for an official visit.

WeAreSC USC Visitor List

2024 Three-Star QB DANIEL KAELIN – Bellevue West HS, NE

There is another QB on that list other than Kaelin
yes, the QB from So Carolina who plays for IMG and is ranked 16th in the country by On3 (Kaelin is ranked 25th by On3)

less local interest but you are correct, just as important in assessing what USC is doing

Is this USC trying to get Nebraska to blink on Raiola? Like a play to say "hey what if Raiola commits to Georgia this weekend and Kaelin decides he likes Southern Cal?"
I think they are looking for a back-up plan and just like Georgia, simultaneously squeezing Raiola (i.e., commit soon or someone else may have the spot)

They only offered 4 QBs in the 2024 class so far. Two are committed (Bama and Florida), there is a local kid who is an Oregon lean (probably leery of being a class behind Nelson) and Raiola.

If Raiola doesn't commit they will want someone in this class. Most all the top guys will be gone in 6-8 weeks

I suppose the last Kaelin who went to southern California did end up being a very big star. Daniel might want to be careful who he stays with during his visit, though.
