Has Dean shown any kind of humility for how he handled Frost? I'm still shocked that he confirmed the "Frost was too drunk to visit Raiola" rumor almost by accident, and still portrayed Frost in the best possible light in telling the story.

The guy is so proud of the fact that he doesn't own any NU gear because he's such an independent journalist, but he's the biggest enabler in the biz when it comes to that kind of stuff.

When did he indirectly confirm the Raiola story? I am not saying you’re wrong, I just must have missed it. Honestly, I find their board to be an over-populated bin of garbage that I can’t tell what’s even worth clicking on.

The thing is, even with Dean’s spin the story is just sad. Frost’s own version of events, the version that puts himself in the best possible light, is that he was too drunk to drive after dinner with his wife, and he didn't even think to clear it with compliance in the first place? Ay yi yi. Just embarrassing. It sounds like a high schooler's level of responsibility and integrity.

Also WTF was Dean doing with this report anyway? Is he implying that his family was walking around trick or treating with Frost's family? Or they just crossed paths in a driveway along the way and he decided to pop this question to him while they were waiting around? WTF? Haha

There’s something there with the Peeds. I got into it with $Dean the day it was announced Matt the Catch to 1890. He immediately came in and said how great it was. I remember asking him…how would we know that? Davidson had/has zero experience with something like that…kinda like the zero experience he had with being involved in a college football athletic department. $Deans initial response was something like: Matt Davidson loves Nebraska. He do anything for this place. @RedFinger ‘s response: I love Nebraska Sean….can I run the 1890? He didn’t like that…

Keep in mind Frost and the Peeds were connected. During the SF era I heard that name several times as one of Frost’s main supporters. Beings there’s been significant change, it should come as no surprise that a new regime wants no part of that.

The timing of the announcement of the 1890 shouldn’t come as much of a surprise imo either. If they waited till Rhule was hired I’d say there’s at least a chance that 1890 wouldn’t have ever existed. However, I at least have to acknowledge that money talks…and the Peeds got a lot of it. Perhaps there would have been another way. I viewed it as the last grasp action to be very connected to the program. Kinda just my speculation though.

Speaking of money talks, perhaps that’s why $Dean defends everything the Peeds like.

In the "Heiberger commits to wisky thread" Dean is going to bat for Davison and 1890 saying they have absolutely no role in us losing recruits, and that Turd and Rhule have no issue with Matty D, and that people just feel like starting drama for no reason.

Sean is lying to his customer base. Big Red Collaborative is done and he knows it. AIM, who handled basketball with Hoiberg's full approval after Lambrecht dicked over a couple hoops players, has rolled in with 1890. Originally, AIM was to merge with BRC.

This info isn't second hand; it's 10 days fresh straight from the mouths of those who started BRC, had a hand in AIM & are deeply involved with 1890.

My sub is up over there at the end of May. I've had Dean dm me a couple times but I've never been sent to Chile. I don't really care for Robin much anymore because since the new site opened he's turned into Dean. However, he does bring the goods with basketball info and basketball recruiting. That's the only reason I may stay with them is because there's not really another place I've found to get basketball info.

I see where Mongo and Sean ban people all the time for little things. Mongo is an idiot, Sip is a creep and seems like Robin has lost some of his connections within the basketball program.

I think that people didn't know what was going to happen to Rivals and moved over to On3 thinking that there wouldn't be a site or message board there anymore. The journalists at Rivals are a lot better than anything over on HOL. Greg Smith is light years better than anything at HOL. Steve Marik does a good job with his articles too. Zack is finding his way, but just doesn't have any connections yet. Nate Clouse is back, but really isn't much of a contributor. He does a Q&A session, but usually barely makes it to the second page of questions before he leaves. The only issue is the message board doesn't have a lot of traffic right now.

The most distressing thing in that thread was the revelation that, unlike other schools, NU Compliance doesn’t allow the collective(s) to meet with recruits on their visits. They have chosen a conservative approach.
