Zion Robinson's Visit to Nebraska Changes Perceptions for 4-Star Recruit Just Weeks Ahead of Decision

Zion Robinson visited Lincoln this week for an official mid-week visit. The four-star wide receiver from Mansfield (Texas) approached the visit with limited knowledge about Nebraska, but he and his family were encouraged to learn more about the Huskers. The visit made a strong impression on Robinson and his family as he prepares for his final official visit before announcing his commitment.

“Nebraska came in a little later,” Zion Robinson said. “It was kind of a little later, and also a bunch of things happened. We have some friends and people up there that recommended we take a visit to see how it is at Nebraska

“We didn’t know anything about Nebraska, so it was cool to go and visit and the visit was way more than we expected. Coach Rhule is one of the best coaches I have ever met and one of the most down to early people. The visit was way more than I expected.”

Robinson considered several things before visiting Nebraska. He discovered many misconceptions and came away thoroughly impressed with what the state had to offer.

“People think that Nebraska is just in the middle of nowhere, but there are all of these things to do,” Robinson said. “The people in the state genuinely support their football team. They have sold out every home game for 45 years and that is a very big tradition. They are getting the program back where it belongs. Coach Rhule will get the program back on the right track.”

“Nebraska has the best facilities in the country,” according to Robinson

One of the many things that stood out to Robinson during his official visit to Nebraska was the facilities. Robinson has seen facilities during his various trips, and he says the Huskers have the best facilities in the country.

“Nebraska has the best facilities in the country,” Robinson said. “They were amazing. Everything is brand new. They have an escalator in their new facilities and they have everything you need as far as resources.”

The Huskers envision Robinson playing a valuable role in their offense. They believe he can excel as both an inside and outside receiver for the Huskers.

“Coach Shorts says he could play me inside and outside,” Robinson said. “I can do just about everything and I am smart enough to do the things inside so they told me I should be able to play both.

“They have a really good quarterback and they have really good quarterbacks coming up. The future is bright with Dylan Raiola, Dayton Raiola, and Trae Taylor in the 2027 class.”

Robinson has taken official visits to Michigan, Texas Tech, and his most recent visit to Nebraska. He will take his final official visit to Stanford this weekend and plans to make his commitment in the next few weeks.
