Softball is great, I played fast pitch after high school and actually won the 23u world championships in 2019. In my opinion it’s a more enjoyable and fast paced game than baseball.

With a good playoff run, she's right near the top of best NU chick athletes with a couple of the volleyball greats and Merlene Ottey.

Athletically they’ll never be in the same class. I don’t think anyone questions that. However it is fair to measure accomplishments regardless of sex.

She will already go down as the greatest Softball player in our history. But how softball relates to other sports, well that tough to do. With attendance at under 3k, you have to be really really special to compare to the top football players that play in front of 80k. She still has another year and she is a special athlete, but I'm not sure how you compare greatness across sports. Maybe in jersey sales, if you can find those numbers.

I can’t remember the exact team I played for at Worlds, that year it was in Mishicott WI and I was asked to go up and play. I’d have to look for my jersey to remember that team name. My regular team for league play was Pints in Walcott, IA. Played for a great guy named Ron Foster who unfortunately passed about 4 years ago.
