As much as I recognize that Nebraska needs stability in their coaching staff (or if not stability than upward movement), I do love an assistant coaching search. Nebraska fan message boards area always good for some hot boards.

Agree with the stability part, but stability is largely intact if your head coach and the majority of assistants remain. As long as someone respected is brought in, it's easier to retain players.

Dude Tony White made no attempt to hide the fact that he wanted to find a head coaching job as soon as possible when he came here. Rhule didn't have any issue with that. Guys have ambition; work together and build them up and you can develop a great network of coaches and establish yourself as someone that people want to work with in the future.

I know you love you some Tony White, but I kinda figured after this season you'd let that dead horse go unbeaten.

11th in scoring defense and 20th in scoring defense is not "extremely good"? Tough crowd.

Surely you aren't comparing Tony White saying he wants to be a HC someday, and getting hired by Rhule who was HC to where Butler says he wants to be a DC "sooner than later" and our current DC not being the one that hires him.

I didn't think on a day where our HC told Butler he wasn't good enough I'd be having this conversation. But here we are...
