Breaking JoBu Out

I assume you’re ‘lol’ is because you view this as the same short sighted, BS, knee jerk, placate the pissed off fan base move that I do?

He wasn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but he didn’t build the roster that gave us the group to work with up front.
This...by a LONG shot

JoBu wasn't THE guy but he was A guy that had a TON of momentum early in the season and had the D playing well. Not his fault the D Line was ass and the D Line coach was ass

He'll go back to the NFL

If your defense is out of position repeatedly and it is your job to coach your assistant coaches on where you want them...you kind of have to fall on the sword as the DC. However you also need a new DL coach and LB coach as they performed like absolute ass this year.
This is a good point. The misalignment was an embarrassment vs Michigan and it continued on whenever we faced good teams.

RE: PSU. When Rhule goes "first 8 plays someone was misaligned on each play"....I guess that's not a stirring endorsement of your DC, come to think of it.

Potentially a little more, but the DC isn’t going to change Jeudy into anything other than a 300+ lb blocking sled or age/mature the kids overnight.

Just dumb IMO.
I mean yea there’s the glaring deficiencies on the D that we’re all aware of talent wise but I still contend a better DC could’ve masked it and called a better defense with the talent we do have

Multiple reasons for my LOL...

1) We essentially helped force an extremely good DC out with the Butler hire who had only one year of DC experience over a decade ago
2) Rhule again showing he's not doing all that great hiring coordinators, as he will now be on his 7th

I'll stop there... for now.
Please continue

It’s so much harder to do than folks think, regardless of the front or the level of experience the DC has.

I thought some of what Butler did earlier in the year was outstanding. Once folks figure out our limitations and how he adjusted with mixed responsibilities and coverages, it was essentially game over.

I understand that TW wasn't exactly looking to stay either.
