But thats an intern. Then the list gets trimmed from there to the paid recruiting department. Then it gets trimmed to the assistant coach. Then the head coach/recruiting coordinator. His point was Scott Frost isn't sitting there reviewing every high school player that has a ranking.
He interacts with the Head Coach and QB Coach. He sends film to both of them for any prospect that he thinks could merit looking at. And that is for potential Scholarship & Walk On recruits. It's pretty cool to hear the details. Talk about a great job for a recruiting junkie. Surfing around the internet finding rumors of possible transfers, watching film, following recruiting websites, looking for Diamonds in the rough, injured players that didn't play their SR years....... basically getting paid to do what some of us do every day, geek out on football. He loves it and coaches are very happy with him.

Your head coach is probably the last one to know who recruits are unless the head coach works with a particular group. The recruiting staff assembles list of prospects to pass to the position coaches who then get approval from the head coach.

Ajay has been committed to TCU since August. Jr evaluations were probably all screwed up due to CoVid & we had no recruiting footprint in LA to even have him on the radar before his Sr season (which he was already committed to TCU)
He came in play due to Applewhite
This isn’t Thst big of a deal but Held was a numbskull regardless, so commence piling on him (although Ajay probably never made it to his desk bc of CoVid logistics & he was a commit to TCU before the 2021 season started)
