Reading some of the threads about the shitty content on RSS today got me thinking about this. What @HuskerGarrett is essentially trying to do here is start a splinter board with what many consider to be the "best" RSS posters. Obviously, there's some latitude in what one might consider a good Scroller, but I think we can likely converge on a few shared criteria. Many of those folks appear to already be here. Given that, it's worth considering a few things:

1) In normal circumstances, I'd say there's less of a threat for RSS. However, these are far from normal circumstances. Given there's an eminent possibility that the B1G will shit down its leg and not play a fall season, RSS will be desperate for good content. While you have some proportion of the good football and recruiting posters here, you most definitely have a very high proportion of the good "OT Scrollers" farting around here for the moment.

2) Assuming most of these guys decide they like the piss in this pool better than back home, that's going to lead to more real estate listings and fewer terrific trolls on RSS (although I haven't seen @HuskerDocCO here yet). The sticking part counts. Everyone is kind of curious about this place now and it's fun to play outside the bounds of our collective "hometown." I suspect that thread on tMB for exiled Scrollers and their sympathizers was similar. In any event, I'll be intrigued to watch how many posters continue to join, the caliber of those posters, and how folks split their time between this place and RSS.

3) If those good posters really do inhabit this place in a way that significantly trades off with their quality posting on RSS, I have to wonder what, if any, knowledge Dean and all will gain of this place. Perhaps even more fascinating would be what, if any, reactive measures they'd take. I don't think there's anything related to Husker message boarding than some sort of board war where people take things very seriously.

Exciting times.

Agreed. If we can somehow get someone with some inside information, we will have everything we need. Or I'll just monitor Nate and Sean's Twitter accounts meticulously
Doc is here, just under a different name. That's all I will say. 😀

3 more points.

The potential of this place is off the charts. Especially if we can land a couple of insidehers.

It'll be a beautiful thing to see Dean lose a subscription base because his content is horseshit and then have nothing but the Potato Patrol left posting on RSS.

Perhaps someday we could all cancel our RSS subs and have one shared whore account so we could peek Nate's articles, and then just keep the discussion over here on tPB.
