Here's what Rhule said in the post-game.
"Chubba is getting back to being healthy, so it was good to see him out there get to go play"
"They do the groin testing every week and his [Chubba's] strength is back to where it originally was. That being said, he definitely does have something that might require something to be done at the end of the year. But he started at our own 4 yard line and took us all the way down to the other 4. You talk about moments that can ignite a team, can ignite a season...I'm happy to see he got a chance to play and if he's the guy, we'll coach him up as best we can."
He certainly didn't make it sound like Chubba is in a bad spot with his injury. Also I would be really surprised if we scheduled our third string qb to have groin surgery on a gameday. I don't know why we would do such a thing.
