I think we can all agree that the win over Buffalo didn't reinforce our pessimism but it also didn't reduce it. Bad special teams again. Penalties taking points off the board (even if 2 of the 3 were bullshit calls). Buffalo helping us out with some bad penalties of their own.

So on to Oklahoma. Again this doesn't mean you're ready to poke holes in the drywall level of excitement. More like having to nonchalantly reposition because the 5 that just walked by is showing a bit more cleavage than usual.

Same rules apply for write ins.

If we lose by 7 points or less

I AM the koolaid

We looked how I expected us to look at the beginning of the season over the last two weeks, which is good, but I still can't even imagine us sticking with OU... but if I'm wrong I'll be SO stoked

If we lose by 2 touchdowns or less then I will be happy. Just don't get blown out.

Frankly, even if we keep the game close, I don't think it will change my outlook on the rest of the season. Big 12 football is a lot different than Big 10 football. Getting to 6 wins is going to be a bitch regardless of how we do against Oklahoma.

I get that. If we keep it within one score I'll be hitting the koolaid though.

After sobering up and sleeping on it, I'm basically ignoring the result unless it's a win. Losing close could mean something but with how many close losses Frost has had, I don't really view it as a sign of anything. Going and sticking it in the pooper of the remaining beatable teams on the schedule will have me in Koolaid mode though

Close really doest do anything for me. Tulane played them close too. Nobody cares if you play a team close. We need wins against good teams. Frost only has 2 wins against P5 Teams that ended the season with a winning record. All the other wins came against the shitty competition.

^^I agree, if it's close it will be the "what if's" and that's been every game under Frost. We should have beat Ohio State in 18 too. It's always possible but we would have to play damn near perfect which we have never done under Frost. A close game would just solidify everything we already know about this coaching staff and team...tons of potential..lack of execution...too many mistakes.

I just don't see any way our OL blocks them, run game or pass, to lead to sustained drives. We will struggle to score points. I'm thinking 49-13, and it might even be close at halftime.

We don't know how good Tulane is but if you watch that game, Tulane kept their front 4 in check for the most part. I think they only ran for 100 yards but they were getting a push and the pass protection held up. I think they passed for about 300. It wouldn't surprise me if Tulane has a better O-line than us though.

Have to admit I'm pretty surprised by our YPP on offense b/c it's way better than I would've guessed just going off of my feelings during the games. There are the seeds of a pretty good offense out there, but really need the RB running game to develop a bit more. I am anticipating a lot more on the triple option wrinkles for this game. Need to get Martin, Manning Vokolek, and Allen back if we have a chance of keeping it close. Biggest concern is DL stunts on the left side.

Good points. I'd still be drinking the koolaid. I'd also be guarding it like a lion with a pack of hyenas circling. I know it's going to get taken away but I'm going to drink it while I can.

This is like 2018 all over again...lots of yards, but not a lot of points to show for it.
