Husker Power: From Epley to Campbell

Hi, I just joined and wanted my first post to contain some new content. This was an excellent (but lengthy) read on our strength program - both past and present:

Dave

All I remember was lateral passes and running the fumble play too much. I'm sure Frost had other concepts installed though
Don’t forget about the QB run play

Did that guys parents actually name him Richard Johnson?

A former neighbor whose land was close to mine was named Richard. Last name Head. He went by Dick. Dick Head. Was a nice enough older guy who passed about 5 years ago. I am sure he got lots of ribbing for his name over the years.

I had a customer contact named Richard Herr, but he went by "Dick." Dick Herr.

I’ll never shy away from the fact that I loved the weights program under Duval, but a giant red flag for me is when Eppley himself says something was underutilized by Duval. Given that Duval is a disciple of Eppley, that is absolutely unforgivable

I remember when I read and heard that for the first time I couldn’t imagine how anyone, within talent reason, would be able to hang with that. Fuckin shit it looked nothing like that
Sounded like the perfect offense for Nebraska.
