The 5 out offense just isn't working. Getting killed on the boards because we have no bigs. Jacking up 3s, with that being said College basketball has become unbearable to watch with so many 3s being jacked up by players who shouldn't be shooting them.

Ha! Trust me, it pains me to say that but I do know good basketball when I see it.

That offense works when you have a roster of really good shooters and a big who can step outside and knock down enough threes to keep the defense honest. The problem is that we have a roster full of shooters who are told to shoot as if they're really good shooters and our bigs can't make a shot outside 8 feet.

I don't know that it's the offense as much as it is the recruits and just making some simple basketball plays. Some of the same mistakes we are seeing are being allowed to happen....which blows my mind. Why Bryce McGowens is allowed to take some of the shots he takes is something else. In fairness he isn't the only one though. It all just looks like they want to play really pretty, cool, smooth, whatever. I don't see anyone other than Verge that's willing to get to the rim. You aren't gonna win in the Big Ten if you don't get to the rim. It's like the least surprising thing ever that Nebrasketball has the scoring droughts it has. It's like Y ball. Nobody is willing to actually do the shit that wins games.

I can't watch it. I've followed Nebrasketball for the good or bad for years, and always been able to keep watching either way...I stopped watching yesterday. It's not winning basketball and you're not gonna win anything playing like that....at any level. I loved the Fred hire, but this isn't gonna work out. I will enjoy the comments about Fred being fired from pro Frost guys...those should be interesting.

Hoiberg has sucked more suck than I thought was even possible for this program.

However, unless he steps down, I do not see how they fire him after this year. It's NU Basketball after all...the WORST P5 program in the history of the sport. NU is keeping Frost after 4 straight losing seasons, but we will fire our basketball coach after 3? I just cannot see it. You cannot have higher standards for a basketball program with ZERO history compared to the football program which is a top all-time historical program.

They should probably both be fired, but I think we have both of them for at least another year unless they would move on their own.

I agree, but I wouldn't put it past this group of decision makers haha. They've already shown they can make illogical decisions. Ego's are interesting.

I think you're probably right, but Hoiberg's results are like Frost having Riley's 2017 season year after year. Both are spectacular failures to this point, but Frost at least gives the impression that there is a hump to maybe get over. Hoiberg is doing the impossible with the bball program by making Frost seem less bad.
