Quick observation: NU BMOC celebrity is nothing new for our programs' top players. But now that we have the IG influencer world + the NIL world colliding, we are creating bigger celebrities than we've ever had. Or more of them, might be more accurate.

Rumor was Jeff Sims was high on the BMOC life as well last year, seen at the bars way too often for a new starting QB. And his play looked like it, obviously.

But you get these young volleyball players who become instant celebrities their FR/SO yr. Murray has well over 100k social media followers. And she's probably on over 100k NIL. People have to be emotionally ready to handle this type of fame. That's what makes Dylan Raiola so refreshing bc the kid seems so well prepared for this.

Not excusing Harper Murray's issues, but I wonder if these type of problems are going to be more and more common. I mean 20 yrs ago, a 19 yr old women's volleyball player would never have this type of fame. Now you got gymnasts, WBB, softball players etc that are massive celebrities. I could see more than a few just getting completely lost in the celebrity side of things and forget about the sports side of things (the film study, weight room, nutrition, etc).
