Murray State has slugged their way to the CWS with a roster full of high school an and JUCO recruits. They only have 4 transfers from other D1 programs. Their coach won a JUCO National title back in 2018. That dude knows what he's doing.

His lineup construction leaves a lot to be desired. Why is a dude with 25 home runs leading off and a dude that’s batting .360 with no home runs hitting 4th..

Traditional batting lineups like that are a thing of the past. You want your best hitters at top of order so they get more at bats. The whole rbi argument to have guys on in front of him is only applicable for the first inning and that is no guarantee.

You put your best hitters at the top of the order. It's the way the game has moved now. Ohtani bats leadoff for the Dodgers and Betts is 2-hole, it's the most effective way to generate runs now.
