Garage Sales: Help me understand...

I have a friend who makes a shitload of money as a reseller. He goes to garage sales and finds items that cost him $5 that he flips for $250 on online. His wife quit her full-time job to work the shipping and sales side of it because they were making so much money.

I enjoy stopping at yard sales from time to time, looking for vinyl. If you're lucky, you can snag someone's entire collection for pennies on the dollar.

Is your friend Rod Kush?

It's unbelievable the cheap good shit you can buy without paying full price. I'm not garage sale guy, but my wife constantly finds deals at Goodwill....consistently. With her schedule she's able to swing through once week to see what's available.

We're talking name brand shoes, athletic outfits, sweaters, hoodies for next to nothing. When she tells me something would be $150, but she paid $14, I just say SUMBITCH.

Like someone else said; you don't get rich paying full price.

I know a woman in So Cal who makes her living off of going to garage sales and thrift stores. She buys Concert T-Shirts and then resells them on Ebay. Quit her corporate job and hasn't looked back. Making some serious coin. She will do the same with vinyl or other music memorabilia she comes across. Amazing what some people will pay for a 35 year old beat up Def Leopard T-Shirt from the tour they attended in high school. Found her niche and makes a good living doing it. Even has collectors now that she contacts when she finds stuff for certain bands. They pay top dollar for some things she bought for next to nothing.

That's awesome!

I have a buddy that is a notorious flipper of small engine stuff. He's really good at it. Will buy scooters, mopeds, lawn mowers that don't run from people for pennies on the dollar. He'll get it running and flip it in a hurry. Fucker bought a scooter that didn't run for $100 bucks...all it needed was a new battery...sold it for $1200....
My brother does the same shit with jet skis down in texas…makes a killing
