It's like pounding off before a date.
If you don't do anything you might be nervous and under-perform. If you're a baller and fuck before a date, you might be tired and under-perform. If you play a little touch football before a date you preserve energy and mental clarity to perform at an optimal level.
This comes from a very limited perspective of attending a few practices over his tenure.Someone refresh me on his two hand touch esque practice theory.

Only got invited to one Frost practice. Was prior to his first season. Don’t recall any tackling. Practice did look crisp and efficient fwiw. Mo Washington outclassed everybody. This comes from a very limited perspective of attending a few practices over his tenure.
- They tagged off on everything. Which basically equated to, get into position to hit, and jump/uppercut through the hip.
- No idea how much actual live, to the ground tackling they did.
practices without adversity & correction will look that way.Only got invited to one Frost practice. Was prior to his first season. Don’t recall any tackling. Practice did look crisp and efficient fwiw. Mo Washington outclassed everybody.

I have no idea what went on prior to his first practice TonePrior his his first practice??????
I've been to several practices over the years, from Pelini, Riley, Frost, and now Rhule.
Pelini - Most of the time it was just a scrimmage, which kind of sucks because you don't get to see what they actually do during practice with the exception of one year I went. His were organized, always coaching. But the practices being open two days ended when Abdullah got hurt and Pelini erupted. Then it was only open to the scrimmage after that.
Riley - Meh, practices seemed fine, I get rubbed the wrong way quickly with some things. Like the OL under Cav standing around bullshitting for 10-15 minutes while special teams were going on....work on something.
Frost - Practices seemed pretty organized, always tempo, music blaring most of the time. They were big on the go fast period, followed by a rest/teach period style. Seemed okay. Frost was always throwing with the QBs in some drills, which like Cav, bugged me. I took it as a look at me type thing, maybe it wasn't a big deal.
Rhule - Seems like they have longer practice periods. They practice quite awhile, but it's spring. Dudes are always going. Really liked how they rip out group periods of like 7 on 7. They have 3 stations going, one inside hawks and 2 outside, and they rotate after so many minutes. A lot of reps, and I'm assuming once the season hits you can rep your stuff vs a lot of looks in that structure or really build up your roster. If things aren't on point, Rhule is, and on the person to do their job. The dude is demanding...and if it's not great...look out. You can see that from the other coaches. They aren't there to coach effort. If it's not there, get out.
