So much this. There really isn't much of a story here....but how fucking stupid is it to comment on past players? I mean Frost has done a shit job so far, recruiting sucks, and now take a jab at a former player? Even if it has been taken out of context, the statement is out there and all it does is make Frost look like a scorned whiny bitch.

First and foremost, what he actually said should not be controversial at all. It was a long somewhat thoughtful answer about a subject that every coach is having to navigate right now, and only mentioned McCaffrey's situation very briefly as an example of how much has changed with the new rules. Secondly, it's clear that McCaffrey has made some stupid moves in the past 6 months and his brothers are trying to smear Frost in the most clickbaity way possible. Nothing Frost said can be negated by the fact that he transferred in college 25 years ago from Stanford to his hometown school after the coach who recruited him retired and when the rules of transferring were completely different.

But yeah, he should have anticipated how the fucked up social media world works and just left the McCaffrey-specific sentence out of his answer. He is very bad at that side of things. Someday if/when we start winning, his style of wanting to poke the bear in public could be fun and funny. But right now it's just.... sad. Haha

Yeah, when you suck and go around popping off "truth bombs" you get dragged. Especially when the target is the progeny of the McCaffrey family, even if he is a little bitch.

Guy making $7 mil a year should know this and avoid making his job more difficult.
