Frost as a recruit (story)

Nick Bahe said there is a clear dividing line on if former players are "cool" or "HATE" Frost and it is the 1995 team.

Guys on the 95 team might not like him but at least respect him for getting the shit kicked out of him all year and then won in 97.

Guys on the teams before that hated him (probably still do) because he was the snot nose kid who said he was better than Tommie (or Brook) and then went to Stanford cuz he thought he was too good for Nebraska.

PS: Imagine a QB in state playing fucking C2 football saying he was better than a back-to-back National Title game MVP, lol what an idiot
I know I’ve read somewhere that he rocked that Stanford letterman jersey on like his first night back in town cause it was dead of winter and he didn’t have anything else….not a great look. Couldn’t snag a shitty camo coat from somewhere or anything to just kinda blend in since everyone already hated him?

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I find those that constantly accuse others of white-knighting to be orders of magnitude more annoying than actual white knights.

There were like two starters out for that game.
So two starters and quite a few depth guys?

Are you saying that wasn’t a horrible loss? Did you like Frost’s game plan of throwing almost 30 times when the wind was gusting at 25 mph?

No comment on the Illinois game?

It’s fine, though. 2020 didn’t count to some fans. It didn’t matter that Frost continued to get out coached.

I guess I don’t understand why it’s a bad thing to publicly support the coach you wanted

I didn’t realize I had to repeat things that have been said 10000000 times on the board.

Why would I say it wasn’t a horrible loss? That would be retarded.

What comment should I have on Illinois? We are talking about Minnesota. Where did this come from? Are you drunk?

All I said was that Minnesota had like 2 starters out. Which is true. Peej really drove a narrative that many of our fans bought hook, line, and sinker.

Are you seriously trying to downplay a loss to a team who hadn’t played their previous two games and had 33 players out due to Covid protocols, or am I reading this wrong?

I didn’t realize I had to repeat things that have been said 1000000000000000000 times on here. But for the retards like you, here we go:

MINNESOTA WAS A BAD LOSS THAT SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED. NOW THAT WEVE GOTTEN THAT OUT OF THE WAY AND WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE, BACK TO THE POINT I MADE. WHICH IS THAT MINNESOTA HAD LIKE TWO STARTERS OUT FOR THAT GAME.

Im really not seeing how anything I’ve said would be considered white-knighting. Apparently telling the truth is white-knighting now.
It's very prevalent on RSS and it drives me nuts but if you are anything short of crazy critical of Frost in any way possible, then you are a white knighting fan boy......apparently. It's okay to point out the flaws, point out reality, and still support.

Alright boys I'm going to study some film today from later 2018 and see what kind of knowledge I can learn. Will report back

Many people don’t like what they say to be questioned in any way. The thread about Frost’s personal life is a great example. When you just ask someone to walk you through what they’re saying and it’s not believable in the slightest they get pissed because their information was questioned and their moment in the sun is threatened. Then you’re the white knight because they’ve got to deflect.

My initial post was toward someone who said the 2020 season doesn’t count to him. I think we can draw conclusions about Frost’s tenure here while including the 2020 season.

“What comment should I have on Illinois?”
I had mentioned them in my post. You’ve been in multiple threads trying to change the subject from the constant Frost bashing (which has been warranted, especially in the threads about his personal life which I don’t really partake in), so I don’t think it’s ridiculous to assume you were downplaying those losses.

I was not drunk, unfortunately.

Let's call it what it is. Minnesota and Illinois were terrible losses. Illinois we seemed completely unprepared and under manned with the personnel in the game. Minnesota, Frost seemed to try and out smart PJ and himself again by making shit too complicated.

My comment was strictly about the narrative that Minnesota was missing a ton of starters. Which is exactly why I made my comment brief and one sentence. Is it not okay to address just one point within a post anymore? Or do you have to address the full thing every single time?

Stop it. You know how it comes off, especially when so many fans are still clinging to Frost’s nutsack like he’s the savior.

guys stop fighting about the 2020 season, nobody lost eligibility so this season is basically Frost's 3rd year

2021 is the prove it or change something (assistants and/or recruiting strategy)

YES, it is a hard schedule but it won't be impossible to go 7-5 and win a bottom tier bowl game to finish 8-5.

Which given the past 6 years... would be a good step in helping get out of the cellar
