It is weird for me as well. It's a token jesture, and could be true that Rhule and staff are trying to learn about the state and culture. But for sure Foley loves to eat! Another twitter that was not posted yet:

I think the intentions are pure. But there’s a line between wanting to learn the culture, wanting to be a part of the community, and trying way too hard. This to me really borders on the “trying way too hard” piece.

I think a better idea would have been to attend one of the Sam Foltz foundation events. The setting and situation is just kinda weird to me.

I appreciate their effort - and who knows, perhaps Mr. Foltz reached out to Rhule and wanted to meet the new staff? I don't understand how this is "trying too hard" as he's in the damn city and probably visiting more than just GI. Let this staff cook.
