Florida State Board of Trustees Meeting 12/22 10am ET

It was a confluence of things:
1. Wins/losses of other contenders breaking just so
2. Travis injury
3. TCU blowout
4. ESPN slurping the SECs bawls
I read somewhere ESPN would have lost 150 million leaving out the sec. If Georgia would have lost to a two loss Bama team they would have got in. There was no way a sec team was being left out.

I still think if a two loss Bama team would have beat Georgia, FSU would have got the 3 seed. Having a committee filled with mostly hacks who know nothing about college football makes it laughable.

What was the estimate based off? Ads less valuable?

I’m confused did FSU not agree to these terms? They agreed but now they want a do over?
Yes. They're suing to not be held to an agreement they signed on to.

Honestly, whoever drew up that ACC grant of rights should win Lawyer of the Decade for how tight it's held up to this point. I mean, it's doing exactly what it was created to do, with FSU's and everyone else's approval, no matter how many schools want out now.

Alabama almost lost to USF and Auburn. That was not considered.

TCU was blown out, but on the brink of the 12 man playoff, that was no worries.

They straight up screwed over FSU.

Totally agree. Alabama almost lost with their starting QB while FSU was winning with their defense and back up QB. If anything, it shows that FSU is even more a complete team by winning without their starting QB.

I wouldn’t have an issue with leaving FSU out if it was actually about the best 4 teams every year, but in the past it hasn’t been about the best 4 teams.

Also, TCU got blown out thanks to the team they made the #1 seed this year. It's kind of weird to use them getting blown out in a final without acknowledging they beat a team the committee loves to get there.

I will say this. Everyone in America would rather watch Michigan take on Bama than FSU unless you’re a Michigan player or fan. It’s probably the first year I wouldn’t be shocked to see any of the four teams win the championship. I couldn’t see FSU winning it if they were in with their current qb situation.

Yeah, and a lot of America would probably love to see Deion Sanders and the Bluffs in the playoff, but making the playoffs isn't supposed to be a popularity contest.

I want to see the best 4 teams myself. I would rather see Bama play Michigan. Maybe FSU will prove me wrong and whoop Georgia’s ass, but I doubt it.

Bama gonna fuck bitchigan ass raw
Bama has the best secondary going and I can’t see a Michigan just pounding the rock to win, so I’m guessing you’re right. The offenses Michigan faced all year were also complete garbage outside OSU who wasn’t as good as they have been on offense.

the bottom line is that the SEC has dominated the playoff since it started. there was no way a 1 loss SEC champ who beat the 2x defending champs was getting left out, nor should they get left out.

If FSU didn't have QB issues, then the controversy would be Texas getting left out despite the head to head win over Bama

If I remember right they have won the last 13 of the last 17 titles so they should definitely get the benefit of the doubt. Deep down 99 percent of college football fans think Bama will win it this year.
