Bought a house at the end of 2020 for the first time. Completely remodeled the main floor. Now it’s just small projects here and there until I finish the basement.

My question is: as a homeowner what are things that you’ve done to your house that you recommend? Ex. technology, furniture, DIY updates, etc. Or what are things you didn’t do that you wish you would’ve while remodeling?

I've remodeled the whole house. Not gonna post pics of everything. The house was in rough shape in a nice neighborhood. More than doubled our home value in 3 years.
Good job, dude! I wish I could do more things like that. I'm in commercial construction GC and still handy enough to do a good bit.

Going out tomorrow to tour an area with my real estate agent for a new build. Would be my first and being single makes it a bit nerve-wracking

You already got the dog in the basement pic so

I got nuthin'

Congrats!

Oh maybe just a chick in the shower

Are you in Nebraska?

I assume Kewitt? Hausmann is trying to take over Nebraska now.
Haha, props to Haussmann. When I got in 4-5 years ago the talk was they stretch themselves thin. They're a name but they're not Top 100 ENR. They're regional.

Kiewit JV and another Top 15 GC. So tell me what company for fuck sake lol

Kucera. Most of of our Kewitt work was done at Hastings College. Did you know Gary Fiscus? He was at Kewitt for a long time until his crazy ways got him fired.

No sir but that's because I worked on a single project for a minute. STRATCOM lol
Hausmann basically became the new Sampson on roids throughout Nebraska. I have to give them credit too because i didn’t see them exploding the way they have. They have the whole state pretty much covered and get anything they basically want at the universities these days.

Yeah, exactly. They whipped out their balls and got a bunch of low bids. People thought they were underbidding and were going to get buried. That's the cool part. Sampson is definitely 2

I was just with the national ones though

They learned from Sampson. Joey and his top guy was at Sampson back in the day. They basically used their blue print.
