Anyone got any thoughts on Fidone this upcoming year? How has his rehab gone? Had mad athleticism coming out of high school. In turn, does he make the top two on the depth chart and if so, does Whips offense do him any favors?

What say you? Where are those stellar tpb football minds at?

I'm pumped to see him at full strength and in the rhythm of a football season. You don't really have that necessarily when coming back late in the season from an injury like that, usually a little timid or unsure and untrusting of your recently healed injury. He got a little taste of what it's like and I think after a full spring, summer, fall camp with that in the back of his head he's going to go on a tear. I optimistically see him like that freshman TE from Georgia this year. That kid lit the world on fire.

Even with the injury, he has to be top two on the depth chart no?

By all means, you have my permission. Punch, slap, or tickle away!

Teddy, Fidone; Gabe Irvin.. our freshman studs had bad luck with knees last year.

Wish we would tear the field turf out and put in grass similar to oklahoma and SEC schools

It’s been statisticlly proven that knee injury’s are more common on field turf than grass

We should go back to the 90s turf and start running the damn ball again!

In all seriousness, keeping eligibility for those guys may have ended up being a blessing in disguise. Sucks they had to deal with that, but they should have plenty of time recovering before 2022 season.

Dude is a workout and practice warrior and never backed off. He ended up practicing the last few weeks (I can't remember exactly when it was) and was told by coaches several times to slow down. A week or so after his surgery I asked his when he was going to return. He mentioned doctors said he's done for season, but he told me he's back in early November.

He obviously wasn't up to full game speed yet, but he was well above anyone else not named Austin or Travis. If he was healthy all season, Allen wouldn't have had near as many catches he had. I could tell right away he was a legit player.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's starts this upcoming year and eventually in his career breaks Allen's TE receiving records.

If Teddy and Fidone reach their full potential they won’t be here for a 4th/5th season anyway… some guys are never the same after knee blowouts. hope these guys come back 110%

Yeah he was telling people in CB that he was gonna play at the end of October last year. He was hell bent to get on the field.

Yep, I think the blessing is that they used their RSs in a year where the team wasn’t in the hunt for anything except 6th place in the division. Hopefully that won’t be the case going forward, and they stay helpful and are impactful.
