In Raiola's presser this week, I laughed as hard as I've laughed in a while at this interaction (paraphrased):

Dean: Dylan, How much have you mastered that "draw the pass interference throw"? Is that something that you see there?

Dylan: Honestly, no. We want to complete passes.

And I just cannot stop thinking about it - so - with that, it seems time to revisit our favorite dumbass moments...

I just keep imagining in the huddle "Alright guys we need a first down - you guys can't execute when it matters so I'm going to throw my patented "draw the pass interference throw" here and bail your asses out again. ready....fuck off."

Any time he says a rumor is definitely not true knowing damn well he knows it is. Why not just say it’s an unconfirmed rumor and we can’t have it on the board.

Oh and then when it is confirmed true he’ll say he knew it was true the whole time.

Not defending Dean- but I’m sure it’s something there is where the goal is DR and the WR to receive a PI call.

Dylan has exceptional accuracy, and our WRs who are getting these called are big bodied. Could use it as an advantage

When he took the time to write a full article about how big of a deal it was, that Charlie Weis was getting off his fat ass, and visiting Trevor Robinson, was the ultimate cringe. He even included a large pic of Weis on his Rascal, that was on the homepage.

He made it sound like the Pope himself was coming to Elkhorn. The entire board went ballistic, and he had to remove the article and picture.

He has no common sense...incredible.

Yeah. Really can't blame Dean for this one. I mean, it happened with such regularity against Purdoodoo that I was starting to wonder if it was intentional. Purde was called six times for DPI and most of them were the same kind: ball is underthrown, DB runs smack into the WR who has to slow down to let the ball catch up. Seeing that play out so many times... it sure started to look intentional.

I think there's a "throw it here and either draw the PI or the WR can come back to it" type of strategy...but the question is still dumb.

What do you think Dylan's going to say, "Yeah I underthrow on purpose because letting them try to catch it would be worse".

Ok his postgame podcast he will take “Superchats” - thank God he’s keeping his clothes on - and one guy’s name on YouTube was “Puma Pants” and ol’ Deab would say it out loud about once a week last year.

“This next question is from Puma Pants…”

Whoever did that was a goddamn hero.

The way he and his team have got the whole journalism crew in the pressers to constantly with nearly every question start by asking “what does it mean to you?”

“What does it mean to you”…..

That you won the game
That X player stepped up when Y player went down
That you have recruits here
That you scored in the 4th qtr
That you got penetration

Blah blah blah….learn something about football and ask detailed, pointed questions to draw answers of substance

Been a plague on general sports journalism since chick sideline reporters started becoming a regular thing, IMO.
